Our proprietary scoring

Two metrics no one else publishes

Other directories copy G2 stars. We built two original metrics — quality of fit + risk of failure — and we publish the methodology.

Stack Score

How well a tool fits agency needs (0-100)

82 /100

5 weighted dimensions: pricing value (30%), integrations (25%), agency-specific features (20%), support (15%), maturity (10%). Higher = better fit for agencies.

Read methodology

Stack Stability Index (SSI)

Risk of the tool failing or changing badly (0-100)

SSI 71

7 signals: update cadence, pricing volatility, team retention, engineering activity, support speed, funding, uptime. UNIQUE world-wide — no other directory tracks this.

Read methodology

SSI below 50 triggers an in-page risk alert: "This tool may go out of business or change significantly. Have a migration plan ready." No other directory tells you when a tool you depend on is at risk.

New approach

Search by outcome, not category

You don't want "an AI writing tool" — you want to ship 2x more content. Our Outcome-First Directory lists tools by what they achieve.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Stack Score?

Stack Score is our proprietary 0-100 metric that measures how well an AI tool fits agency needs. It combines 5 weighted dimensions: pricing value (30%), integrations (25%), agency-specific features (20%), support quality (15%), and product maturity (10%). Full methodology is published at /methodology/stack-score.

What is the Stack Stability Index (SSI)?

The SSI is a proprietary 0-100 metric that tracks AI tool reliability over time. It combines 7 signals: changelog cadence, pricing volatility, founder turnover, GitHub activity, support response time, funding situation, and public uptime. Tools with SSI below 50 trigger a risk alert. Full methodology at /methodology/stack-stability-index.

How do you organize tools?

Two ways. By category ("Best AI for SEO") like every other directory, OR by outcome ("Best AI to reduce client churn"). Our Outcome-First Directory is unique to ScoredTools — most agencies care about outcomes, not category labels.

How often are scores updated?

Stack Score is recalculated quarterly. SSI is recalculated monthly. Every tool page shows the last verification date. We track pricing changes weekly via Wayback Machine snapshots.

Do you make money from affiliate links?

Yes. We earn a commission when agencies sign up through our links. This NEVER influences our scores or rankings — see /disclosure for the full policy. Our editorial team scores tools before any affiliate program is added.

How is this different from Tools.so, FuturePedia, AIToolStuff?

Three things they don't have: (1) Stack Score + SSI proprietary metrics with published methodology, (2) Outcome-First Directory architecture, (3) dedicated AI Agent Marketplace. We publish original analysis (State of AI Tools 2026 Report) and have a Chrome extension + Stack Builder SaaS on the Q4 2026 roadmap.
